GMC to find markets for crops/livestock farmers affected by La Nina

Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud, today mandated the Guyana Marketing Corporation to source buyers for farmers whose crops and livestock may be threatened due to the current heavy rainfall being experienced, as a result of the La Nina weather conditions.

General Manager of GMC, Nizam Hassan said the agency will seek to facilitate the sale of produce/livestock in an effort to minimize losses to farmers in affected areas.
