D&I UPDATE

• Ther is a break in the weather over the past 12 hours and high flood and high waters are receding. There are some flooding in Canal No. 1 & 2 (Region No. 3) and Alness in Region No. 6.
• All Sluices and pumps have been put into operation and are closely monitored.
• Additional drainage pump from OMAI will be installed at Liliendaal by Sunday.
• Report of increased water level in the Mahaica and Mahaicony Creek.

Pulling of Hammer is ongoing to remove vegetation (moss) in canal No. 1 and No. 2 is on going. Cleaning of drains in Bell West in progress. Cleaning of sluice outlets at Pouderyne to enhance drainage will commence shortly. High and flood water are receding.
4	No report of flooding	Reports of high water level in channels at Greenfield, Friendship/Craig areas.	Excavation of outfall channel at: Belfield to commence shortly.	All fixed and mobile pumps are operable. Jet pump will be deployed to Hope clear outfall channel. Mobile pump installed at Supply Mahaica and is operable. Cleaning of drains in Unity/Vreegening is in progress. High waters are receding.
5	No Report of flooding	No report of high waters.	Ok	- All Sluices/Pumps are operable. - Cleaning of Wash Clothes canal in progress. - NDIA excavators are currently working within the Mahaica/Mahaicony area.
6	Report of minor flooding in Alness Residential area.	No Reports of High waters in No. 19, 52/74 & Alness.	Ok.	Remedial works is being carried out on sluice door at Moleson Creek. RDC Region No. 6 to undertake cleaning of drainage outlets in Alness today. Cleaning of internal drains within the housing area of Alness commences today. - Manual cleaning of 52/74 Façade Canal in progress.
10	No report of flooding.	No Report of High waters in Block 22, Lower Kara Kara, Nottinghampshire West Watooka.	Ok.	- 24 contracts have been awarded to CDC groups to undertake maintenance. These works are in progress.
GEORGETOWN
-	Reports of minor flooding in low areas of Sophia, Cummings Lodge and Industry.	Reports of accumulation of water in low areas of Sophia, Cummings Lodge and Industry..	Ok.	-NDIA Mobile pumps at Kitty and Liliendaal are operable. - One electrical pump at Kitty pump is operable. - City Engineer’s department reported that drainage pumps at River view and Kingston is presently being repaired and will be completed shortly. - High and flood waters continue to recede.

 

GUYSUCO
-	No report of flooding	Reports of High waters at Montrose/LBI backlands.	Ok.	- All Sluices and pumps are operable. - Sluice doors at Montrose and LBI are defective and operate at low tides. GUYSUCO is monitoring the operation of these Sluices.
