  • Ther is a break in the weather over the past 12 hours and high flood and high waters are receding. There are some flooding in Canal No. 1 & 2 (Region No. 3) and Alness in Region No. 6.
  • All Sluices and pumps have been put into operation and are closely monitored.
  • Additional drainage pump from OMAI will be installed at Liliendaal by Sunday.
  • Report of increased water level in the Mahaica and Mahaicony Creek.

  • Pulling of Hammer is ongoing to remove vegetation (moss) in canal No. 1 and No. 2 is on going.
  • Cleaning of drains in Bell West in progress.
  • Cleaning of sluice outlets at Pouderyne to enhance drainage will commence shortly.
  • High and flood water are receding.

Excavation of outfall channel at: Belfield to commence shortly.

  • All fixed and mobile pumps are operable.
  • Jet pump will be deployed to Hope clear outfall channel.

  • Cleaning of drains in Unity/Vreegening is in progress.

  • Remedial works is being carried out on sluice door at Moleson Creek.
  • RDC Region No. 6 to undertake cleaning of drainage outlets in Alness today.
  • Cleaning of internal drains within the housing area of Alness commences today.

- Manual cleaning of 52/74 Façade Canal in progress.

- 24 contracts have been awarded to CDC groups to undertake maintenance. These works are in progress.
