D&I UPDATE

- Heavy Rainfall is experienced along the Coast mostly in Region No. 2, 3 and 4 over the past two days. All pumps and sluices continue to operate. There are no reports of flooding.

- NDIA deployed excavators at Enmore and Cove and John to undertake drainage works. These works are ongoing.

- There has been an incremental increase in water level in Mahaica and Mahaicony Creeks.

- NDIA has undertaken remedial works to seal leaks in the Boersarie Conservancy Embankment at Vergenoegen.

High waters are receding. - Mechanical Cleaning of Canal No. 1&2 in completed. - Repairs to Canal No. 1 Pump completed. - Maintenance Repairs to Canal No. 2 Drainage pump will be undertaken today.
4	No Report of Flooding	Report of high waters in - Montrose. - Two Friends-Ann’s Grove - Sections of Lusignan - Sections of Plaisance	Ok.	- All sluice and drainage pumps are operable. High Waters are receding. - Additional Drainage pump is currently being installed at Lusignan and will be operable by Dec 17 th, 2007 - cleaning of Main drainage canal at Montrose/Vryheid Lust Completed. - Excavation of Victoria Pump Basin and Greenfield Outfall Channel completed and are operable.
5	No Report of Flooding.	Report of incremental increase in water level in: - Mahaica and Mahaicony Creeks.	Ok	- All Sluices/Pumps are operable. - MMA install pump at Bellemy Canal (Abary End) and is operable. - NDIA/Region commences works on check structures at Mortice and Sookdeo canals. - Pump to be placed at Onverwagt this afternoon. - Cleaning of drains and outlets at Belladrum, Ithaca, Cotton Tree, Bush lot, Hamlet, Woodley Park to Bel Air commences

 

6		No Report of Flooding		Reports of high waters in: - Sections of No. 19 area - 52/74		OK.	- All Sluices/Pumps are operable. - High Waters are receding. - RDC undertaken excavation of outfall channel at No. 43, Eversham and Lesbeholden. Works to complete by Dec 20, 2007. - Repairs to Joppa drainage pump completed.
10		No reports of flooding.		No Report of High waters.		Ok.	- Diversion of water way in Kara Kara creek has been put in place.
GEORGETOWN
-	No reports of Flooding		Report of High waters within low areas of Sophia. - Bourda, Queenstown, Sophia		Ok.		City Engineer department reported that all pumps are operable except Kitty electrical pump. Drainage works in Sophia/Pattersen will commence by Thursday, 2007.
GUYSUCO
-	No report of flooding.		No report of High Waters		Ok.		- All Sluices and pumps are operable. - Sluice door at Montrose and LBI are defective and operates at low tides. GUYSUCO is monitoring the operation of these Sluices.
