  • There is a break in the weather over the past 24 hours and flood and high waters are receding; there are reports of flooding in Canal No. 1 & 2. All Sluices and pumps have been put into operation and are closely monitored.
  • Additional drainage pump from OMAI will be installed at Liliendaal today.

  • Cleaning of drains in Bell West in progress.

Reports of high waters in Montrose, Better Hope and Anns Grove/Greenfield areas.

Excavation of outfall channel at: Belfield to commence shortly.

  • All fixed and mobile pumps are operable.
  • Jet pump will be deployed to Hope clear outfall channel.
  • Mobile pump installed at Supply Mahaica and is operable.
  • Excavation of pump basin at Victoria completed.
  • Repairs to one of the three drainage pumps at Huntly is being carried out and will be completed today.
  • High waters are receding.
